Open executive Job in Academic & University Dean of the College of Business

Frostburg State University invites applications for the position of Dean of the College of Business to advance the mission and success of

A member institution of the University System of Maryland, Frostburg State
University (FSU) is a public, comprehensive, largely residential regional university offering programs in business, education, the sciences,
arts, and humanities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. FSU’s College of Business is AACSB accredited and includes approximately
50 faculty and 1000 students in the Departments of Management, Marketing and Finance, Economics, and Accounting. The College of Business
values teaching, scholarly contribution, and service, with a growing reputation for addressing the rapidly changing landscape of business
through its emphasis on global experiential learning. FSU is located on a 260-acre campus in the Appalachian Highlands of Western Maryland.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Provost, serve as the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer for the
College of Business. The Dean provides oversight of and strategic leadership for the quality of undergraduate and graduate programs, student
enrollment and retention, effective use of technology, curricular and programmatic innovation, professional development of the faculty, and
advancement work. Working with University administration and the College Executive Council, the Dean discusses issues and makes decisions
regarding faculty and staff, students, academic programs, and AACSB accreditation. Other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in a related field with three to six
years of work experience in increasingly responsible positions of higher education leadership. Excellent speaking, writing, and
interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse population. Evidence of excellent

Preferred Qualifications: Through education and work experience, deep knowledge of salient and
emergent academic business school disciplines and practices. A successful candidate will be innovative and forward-looking with strong
interests in collaboration across the University and the University System of Maryland and a dedication to student recruitment, retention,
success, and graduation. The individual will have current insight into labor trends as determined by a variety of data sources, and will be
knowledgeable about AACSB and regional accrediting processes.
