Degree and area of specialization
Bachelor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Communications, Educational
Technology or similar preferred.
Associate degree with comparable work experience preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience
Minimum 1-2 years experience required, 5 years
preferred, in design and development of advanced technology classrooms and video production technology; must be proficient with the use of
computers and programing languages.
Strong preference will be given to applicants with experience programing AMX control systems and with a working knowledge of Extron
commercial media systems. Preference will also be given to applicants with a background in higher education support. Applicant must be able
to communicate effectively in English.
This position will serve as the multimedia engineer for Engineering Media Services (EMS) within the
College of Engineering (CoE). This position will be responsible for the coordination of all technical design, installation, and maintenance
related to the multimedia advanced technology classrooms, television production studio, and post production facilities within the CoE.
The College of Engineering (CoE) consists of nine academic departments and 40+ research centers, which along with the Dean’s Office, has
2800 faculty, academic staff, university staff, graduate, and undergraduate employees and an annual budget of $215M from multiple funding
sources. The College has nine buildings from which it operates its classroom instruction, instructional and research laboratories and
