An existing position is available within the School of Biosciences for a Research Associate with responsibility for Bioinformatian: Research Support and Training to conduct research and provide training support within the Genomic Research Hub.

The successful candidate will contribute to the School’s research and training environment through:

1. providing high-quality bioinformatics support and first-class analysis of research data across the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University through the Genomics Research Hub

2. perform collaborative research with a range of research groups through the Genomics Research Hub leading to the publishing of work in high-impact journals and contribute to the winning of competitive research funding

3. providing high quality training in bioinformatics to staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students
To pursue excellence in research, teaching and enterprise and to inspire others to do the same.

The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate degree at PhD level in a related subject area or equivalent.

This is a full-time position, fixed-term for 3 years.

Salary: £32,548 – £38,833 per annum (Grade 6).  It is not anticipated that an appointment will be made above 6.30, currently £32,548 per annum.
