Wrexham Glyndŵr University is seeking to appoint a Quality Officer to join the Academic Quality and Standards Unit, the team responsible for managing and supporting academic quality assurance procedures across the University. The temporary post is for a period of up to 12 months to cover maternity leave. The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience of a range of university and external quality assurance activities.
The role will include implementing quality assurance procedures including programme validation and review, collaborative approval, provision of guidance regarding the procedures and production of high quality reports. The postholder will work closely with administrative and academic staff in the University and in partner organisations.
The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator, have academic or professional qualifications at least at Level 3 (A levels or equivalent), have a high standard of written and oral communication skills and will be able to implement procedures effectively. Experience of working in Higher Education administration or equivalent administrative environment where paying attention to detail, being methodical and accuracy and meeting deadlines was a critical success factor, are essential.
