Free open Job in Wales Head of Events at Cardiff University

Reporting directly to the Director of Student Recruitment and Outreach, with a close relationship to the Head of Civic Mission, the postholder will promote the brand of Cardiff University through a high profile events programme that covers major engagement events such as the Eisteddfod as well as corporate and ceremonial events such as graduation and major recruitment events such as open days.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering on key aspects of The Way Forward, 2018-23, notably the events designed to support the civic mission agenda and will work closely with the Civic Mission Board.

The post holder will manage a team of three, including the events manager for the corporate and ceremonial events and two grade 5 posts, but will also be expected to manage a wider team of colleagues from across the University, particularly at peak times of the year.

The post holder will be expected to bring an innovative approach to the provision of Welsh language events.

The post is full-time and open-ended.

Salary: £41,212 – £47,722 per annum (Grade 7)
