Middlesex University Dubai Super 4 challenges the University’s fittest:

Dubai, UAE: Four universities, Middlesex University Dubai, University of Wollongong Dubai, Heriot Watt andManipal University Dubai will battle it out to see who can claim ultimate sporting glory during Middlesex University Dubai’s Super 4 competition, taking place at various locations throughout Dubai until 9 March.

With competitions in table tennis, basketball, football and volleyball, individuals and teams will compete against each other in qualifying rounds before proceeding to the finals on 8 and 9 March.

For Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes, Director, Middlesex University Dubai, Super 4 is more than a competition to see which university can claim ultimate sporting glory, it is also a chance for students to meet other people with similar interests and passions.

“We have students from 90 different nationalities studying at our Knowledge Park campus. With some hailing from Dubai and others having relocated from other emirates or overseas, it is important for our students to have access to clubs and sports which allow them to meet others with similar interests and passions,” explains Dr. Fernandes.

“With four universities competing in this year’s competition, Super 4 is a great way for students to not only stay physically fit, but to make friends with similar interests and hobbies to take some of the pressure out of the rigors of study,” he said. “I look forward to seeing some great sport and sportsmanship during this year’s Super 4 competition.”
