The History Department at Royal Holloway invites applications for the above full-time post, tenable from 1 September 2017. This post is available as either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Oral History.
Applicants must have proven teaching experience, and also REF-eligible high-quality research-based publications, reflecting their expertise in oral history. The successful applicant will be required to contribute to a range of undergraduate courses, offer an appropriate MA teaching, and recruit PhD students. They will also be required to assist in departmental administration and other collective departmental activities.
Preference may be given to applicants who are able to contribute to the department’s active Public History teaching programme, both at undergraduate and MA level. Final appointment level will depend on the successful applicant’s relevant experience and publications. The essential qualification for this role is educated to PhD level (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
