The Faculty is currently looking to expand its academic staff base with an enthusiastic individual committed to the highest standards of teaching and research.

A Lecturer, AC2, in Biomedical Sciences is required to contribute to the delivery of established and new programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be able to offer a specialism within the continuum of Biomedical Science especially in Human Immunology and in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science. In addition, you will also contribute in areas including biochemistry, genetics, clinical chemistry, physiology and molecular biology. You would be expected to engage in scholarly activities, and consultancy and to contribute to the Faculty’s teaching excellence agenda.

In addition to your teaching activities you will contribute to supporting work placements for students and to be actively involved in recruitment and retention activities of the Department and will be responsible for pastoral care for students.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Biology/Biochemistry/Physiology and a PhD in a Biomedical Science related subject, a teaching qualification (e.g. PGcert) would be an advantage. Registration with the IBMS or the CHPC is also required. Please see the relevant job profile for the requirements. 

This is a full-time, permanent appointment. The salary scale for an AC2 post is in the range of £32,543.00 to £37,706.00 / annum.
