Salary: The salary will be paid at Grade 8, £50,618 to £58,655 per annum, plus £3,223 per annum London Allowance.

Information about the role:
This role leads and manages all departmental professional services in the English Language Centre (ELC). The role holder works in partnership with the Director, Deputy Director Education and Departmental Executive to deliver the ambitious education and growth portfolio of the ELC and open up pathways of excellence into King’s degree programmes. This role ensures that our academic endeavour is supported by excellent professional services support.
The ELC are a central teaching department that works across the whole university. Our role is to provide preparatory pathways for excellent students with the academic potential to succeed in a King’s degree. Our vision is to be a global leader in high quality, integrated and student focused pathway provision, where our students are equipped for success and articulate into their degree as engaged, effective and independent learners. To achieve this, we offer innovative programme choice, challenge our students to achieve their potential and prioritise a rounded approach to the overall student experience.
The department is based in the iconic Bush House, in the heart of the Strand Campus, and is currently home to 1,700+ students, from over 60 different countries, and a rapidly growing team of highly experienced teaching and professional services staff, (around 75FTE staff in 18/19). We are accredited by the British Council and are a recognised centre of excellence for EAP and preparatory teaching. Our recent inspection sees us as the UK leader of all Higher Education Language Centres.
