Specified Purpose Appointment (anticipated duration of 12 months)

UCC wishes to appoint to the above post. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Lecturer will have completed a relevant Masters level qualification for the start of the 2017/2018 academic year and will also have demonstrated the interest and capability for University-level teaching and research.

Desirable qualities for appointment include: good communication and interpersonal skills; evidence of ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team; ability and willingness to work in a collaborative environment; understanding of, and empathy with, the concerns of students; a commitment to best work practices and long-term development of the discipline and the Department. 

Specific teaching duties will be allocated to meet requirements over all teaching programmes of the Department. Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €32,821 – €57,967/€63,353 – €79,200.
