Applications are invited for a temporary part – time post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Agricultural Engineering within UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering.
The UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering has a long and distinguished record of contribution and achievement in education and research.
The School now wishes to make an academic appointment in the area of Agricultural Engineering for Precision Livestock Farming. The Lecturer/Assistant Professor post is part-time (0.2 FTE) temporary academic position in the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering. The successful candidate will hold a primary degree and a PhD in Biosystems Engineering or cognate discipline, and will have a proven track record in research and teaching. The successful candidate will play a key role in undergraduate and graduate teaching in the School. He/she will be allocated teaching, research and administration roles of responsibility assigned by the Head of School.
Applicants are required to submit in their applications a research statement (1-2 pages) outlining their future research plans and a teaching statement (1-2 pages) outlining their teaching philosophy. Applications which do not include these statements will be deemed incomplete.
Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €52,325 – €82,267 per annum pro rata
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
