As a senior member of the School’s administrative team, this varied role will see you working on the development of the School’s recruitment strategy, producing marketing materials, strengthening student recruitment and conversion activity and contributing to the development of alumni engagement.

As Recruitment and Marketing Manager you will:

  • create and manage the Recruitment and Marketing Strategy for the School, including planning advertising and undertaking competitor and market analysis
  • oversee publications and communications including writing copy, promoting achievements in news stories, coordinating programme information
  • manage digital marketing including the website and social network presence
  • manage the School’s front-facing profile at events

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • to be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience
  • experience of marketing and student recruitment within higher education
  • experience of web editing platforms
  • recent and significant experience of line management
  • excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills

The School of European Culture and Languages (SECL) is a multidisciplinary school and one of the largest at the University of Kent. Comprising six departments, the School embraces Classical and Archaeological Studies (including Ancient History), Comparative Literature, English Language and Linguistics, the Modern Languages (French, German, Hispanic Studies, and Italian), Philosophy, and Religious Studies, as well as programmes in Asian Studies, European Studies, and World Literature.
