The International Relations Office (IRO) comes under the leadership of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Doctoral and Internationalisation). The principal functions of the IRO are to inform and help deliver the University International Strategy, particularly with regard to partnerships in their various forms, staff and student mobility and international student recruitment.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery, logistics and documentation of academic and non-academic partnerships and the related communication and coordination. This will involve leading the International Partnerships Team and exercising operational oversight of all International partnerships activities (including projects, events and partnerships management).

In particular, this role will involve working closely with the Senior Management Team, all Faculties and School to lead and manage a range of project work to support the development and maintenance of international partnerships. This will include overseeing a complex programme of high-profile incoming and outgoing visits.

The successful applicant will have substantial experience of partnership development and collaborative working in the field of higher education.
