Duties of the Role

We are looking for an outstanding Faculty Operations Manager with the curiosity, imagination and versatility to support Science and Health departments in realising their ambitions to progress research and education, in areas ranging from human health to effects of climate change to artificial intelligence.

The Faculty Operations Manager is responsible to the Faculty Manager for supporting the management of our Faculty Team and the delivery, enhancement and development of its services.  This key role will provide high quality dedicated support to the Faculty Manager, managing specific areas of work, activities, and support services, and deputising for the Faculty Manager in their absence, as appropriate.

Whilst this post is based at our Colchester campus, some travel to our Southend campus may be required.

Qualifications and Skills required

Applicants will need to hold a good honours degree (2.1 or above) or substantial equivalent experience, coupled with previous experience of project work and knowledge of good project management techniques and a broad understanding of UK Higher education.

You will be an excellent all-rounder, able to drive projects and improvements across the Faculty, working independently and as part of a team with a commitment to continuous improvement and high level communication and organisational skills. You will display the enthusiasm and creativity needed to ensure that our Faculty continues to deliver both outstanding research and a transformational education for our students.
