You will be an experienced customer service professional, with a good understanding of the legislation related to health and safety to ensure a safe environment for Library staff and customers.

You will manage the day to day Library Facilities operations and access services, working across all Library sites, managing the team to ensure the study environment is maintained in accordance with customer needs and library policies to provide an environment conducive to learning and research.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, possess excellent customer services skills and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will have recent experience of working in a customer focused service, managing staff and developing induction and training packages. You will be an effective team player and also able to motivate and manage teams, working both independently and collaboratively to meet service standards.

It is essential that you have good organisational, planning and administrative skills and proficient IT skills.

Ideally you will hold a professional training qualification and have experience of risk assessing.

The hours for this post are Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:30, Friday 09:00-16:30. On occasions you will be required to alter your hours to work evening and weekends.
