Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Music Technology（Hardware and Software） at Massey University

Applications are sought for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Music Technology. We are seeking someone with experience in the development of new software and/or hardware for musical applications. The successful candidate will demonstrate professional and theoretical skills relating to the design and development of new music technology, and will ideally have experience in commercialisation. The successful candidate will have a post-graduate qualification and bring a portfolio of high quality research and/or enterprise initiatives relevant to the position.

The School of Music and Creative Media Production was recently established to respond to New Zealand’s growth and internationally recognised reputation for innovation and creativity in both music and media production. It is staffed by internationally acclaimed and award-winning practitioners and is in the completion stages of building one of the largest studio complexes in the region.

Together with the School of Design and the School of Art, the School of Music and Creative Media Production is part of the College of Creative Arts at Massey University, Wellington. The School of Design offers majors in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Spatial Design, Visual Communication Design and Textiles. The School of Art offers majors in Fine Art and Photography.

The School of Music and Creative Media Production delivers two undergraduate degree programmes, the Bachelor of Commercial Music and Bachelor of Creative Media Production. The Bachelor of Commercial Music offers majors in Music Practice, Music Technology and Music Industry. The Bachelor of Creative Media Production offers students pathways in Film and TV, Animation and VFX, Web and Interactive and Games.
