The Faculty of Law at the University of Otago was established in 1873 as the first law school in New Zealand. The University of Otago is New Zealand’s most research intensive university and a leader in legal research in New Zealand. The Law Faculty is situated in Dunedin, New Zealand’s renowned University city.
The Role
The Law Faculty is committed to high quality legal education and scholarship and is seeking to make several appointments to Lecturer/Senior Lecturer.
The Faculty’s primary teaching needs are in the following areas, but exceptional candidates with proven research potential in other areas will also be carefully considered:
- Contract.
- Torts.
- Property Law.
- Equity and Trusts.
- Family Law.
- Insolvency Law.
- Indigenous Law.
Your Skills and Experience
Successful candidates will have a postgraduate law degree or equivalent academic experience and publications. The Faculty particularly welcomes applications from Māori and Pasifika scholars.
