The West Virginia University Reed College of Media seeks a dynamic and innovative Visiting Assistant Professor for its newly developed
Sports and Adventure Media Major. This position has a start date of August 2018 with the opportunity to start earlier in 2018.

This position will teach undergraduate courses in sports media, and specifically in sports video reporting and producing. This position will
assist in curriculum development for the new major and help students secure valuable internship experiences.

Skills:

The ideal candidate for this position will have national or major market industry experience in sports
journalism, with an emphasis in video production and digital and social media. Candidates must have a master’s degree in Journalism, Media
Studies, Communications or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree combined with significant, specialized and relevant industry experience.
Collegiate-level teaching experience is a plus.

the Big 12 Conference since 2012. WVU sports play a vibrant role in Morgantown and outdoor adventure sports recreation abounds in West
Virginia, including some of the East’s best rock climbing and whitewater rafting, just minutes from Morgantown.
