Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s in
Business Administration with a minimum of 18 credit hours in Accounting. A doctorate degree is preferred. Candidates must have work
experience at the management level outside of academia. Teaching experience is required. Preference will be given to those candidates who
have taught online courses. Must be student centered and focused on student learning outcomes.
Faculty will prepare for and teach assigned courses, hold required office hours, and participate in the academic advising process. Faculty
will attend program, school, and college meetings as requested or required and maintain an active program of professional development. In
addition, faculty will participate in the promotion and tenure process. Participation in the institutional effectiveness process and service
to the college including membership on committees at the program, school, or college level is also required.
Skills & Abilities: Successful candidate must have knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught; ability to establish and
maintain effective professional relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors; ability to communicate clearly, effectively and
professionally through oral and written communications; commitment to the college mission; innovative and effective teaching; sustained and
significant professional development; computer literacy and ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
Appointment level to any faculty position is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Nine-month position. Competitive salary depending on experience. The College also provides a comprehensive benefits package.
Tenure and Promotion: Tenure and promotion are awarded based on a review by a college-wide committee of the
candidate’s contributions to service, pedagogy and scholarship.
