The Department of Biology at Middle Tennessee State University seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty
member (#103160) at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the area of Ecological and/or Molecular Toxicology. Start date for this
position is August 1, 2018.
The successful candidate will have the freedom to develop a research program (lab and/or field focused) that
will gain national recognition and secure external funding. No specific area of expertise within the area of ecological and/or molecular
toxicology will be given preference. The candidate will be expected to mentor students (undergraduate, MS, and PhD) and teach both
undergraduate and graduate courses (specific courses will be determined by the candidate’s expertise).
The Department of Biology has
recently moved into a newly constructed 250,000 square foot science building that includes a greenhouse, an animal research facility and
