Position Summary:

The Department of Social Work at Western Carolina University invites application for a 9-month
fixed term Social Work faculty position with employment beginning in August 2017. Qualifications include a MSW and
a doctorate in Social Work or a related field completed on or before August 31, 2018. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in and
experience with Social Work field education and a commitment to field education, teaching, and service. Duties include teaching graduate and
undergraduate Social Work courses, supporting the field education program, advising students, and engaging in social work practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSW from a CSWE– accredited Social
Work program

Preferred Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Social Work or a related field or completion of
a doctorate in Social Work or a related field by August 31, 2018. Eligibility for licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in North Carolina.
