Faculty Job in Academic & University Assistant Professor – Computer Science and Information Systems
Teach 15 credit hours per semester in computer science and information systems. Perform
other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; training
faculty in new curriculum as needed; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and
maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on
committees; and other duties as assigned. Teaching assignments will be a combination of face-to-face and hybrid (day or evening). A portion
of course load may be online classes. Teaching assignments are subject to change as needed. A list of our current course offerings can be
found at the two links below:
- Master’s degree or higher in computer science (or subfield) or computer information systems; or a
Master’s degree or higher in any field coupled with 18 graduate hours in computer science (or subfield) or computer information systems; or
a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field coupled with at least two years of discipline-related work experience (non-teaching) and
discipline-related course work at least one level above courses taught.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies and a desire to
create/deliver effective online content.
- Understands the importance to adapt to the changing landscape of higher education.
- Comfortable collaborating with faculty and students from other disciplines as well as with industry and community partners.
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Ability to teach computer programming courses in a variety of
- Training or teaching experience in computer science, information
systems, or related field.
- Industry experience in the software development life-cycle, or ability to lead student software
- Teaching experience in computer science, information systems, or
related field at an accredited K-12 or college institution preferred.
- Industry experience in web-based, full-stack software
