Job Description

Teach 15 credit hours per semester in computer science and information systems. Perform
other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; training
faculty in new curriculum as needed; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and
maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on
committees; and other duties as assigned. Teaching assignments will be a combination of face-to-face and hybrid (day or evening). A portion
of course load may be online classes. Teaching assignments are subject to change as needed. A list of our current course offerings can be

Required Skills

  1. Master’s degree or higher in computer science (or subfield) or computer information systems; or a
    Master’s degree or higher in any field coupled with 18 graduate hours in computer science (or subfield) or computer information systems; or
    a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field coupled with at least two years of discipline-related work experience (non-teaching) and
    discipline-related course work at least one level above courses taught.
  2. Comfortable adopting new technologies and a desire to
    create/deliver effective online content.
  3. Understands the importance to adapt to the changing landscape of higher education.
  4. Comfortable collaborating with faculty and students from other disciplines as well as with industry and community partners.

Preferred:

  1. Master’s degree or higher.
  2. Ability to teach computer programming courses in a variety of
    languages.

Required Experience

  1. Training or teaching experience in computer science, information
    systems, or related field.
  2. Industry experience in the software development life-cycle, or ability to lead student software
    development projects.

Preferred:

  1. Teaching experience in computer science, information systems, or
    related field at an accredited K-12 or college institution preferred.
  2. Industry experience in web-based, full-stack software
    development preferred.
