Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) invites applications for the position of Provost and Vice
President for Academic Affairs. Reporting directly to the President, the Provost/VP for Academic Affairs will oversee all academic areas of
the institution, including program accreditation, the libraries, and institutional research and effectiveness.

Poised for
growth, TTUHSC El Paso includes the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and Paul L. Foster School of
Medicine. Development of the Woody Hunt School of Dental Medicine is underway. Construction of an $83 million, 219,000-square-foot Medical
Sciences Building II, will be completed in spring 2019, doubling the campus’ research space and adding classroom space. TTUHSC El Paso’s
growth is matched by additional healthcare infrastructure in the community. A new hospital and medical office building at The Hospitals of
Providence, Transmountain Campus will be home to five new planned residency programs beginning in 2019.

The Provost/VP for
Academic Affairs will have an M.D., D.N.P., Ph.D., or equivalent, and eleven years related experience in an academic health center with
qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of professor. Preferred qualifications include experience in a senior leadership position
at the provost’s or dean’s level; prior experience as a program director or Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of a health-related
program; knowledge of accreditation processes and experience in SACSCOC, LCME, CCNE, and ACGME; demonstrated leadership related to
management of budgets and personnel management; experience in health professions simulation-based education and associated curriculum;
strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills; and a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

El Paso has
