Open executive Job in Academic & University Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
Hiram College invites applications for the staff position of Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis reporting to the Vice
President for Business and Finance/Chief Financial Officer.
Established in 1850 as the Western Reserve Eclectic Institute, Hiram is a nationally respected private residential liberal arts college
located 35 miles from Cleveland. At Hiram, faculty and staff are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, an interest in trying new

The Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will design and execute a comprehensive cash flow and budget planning,
formulation, and reporting process for Hiram College. Part of this work will include the creation and formalization of budget policies,
procedures, and best practices. It will also include creating and delivering budget training workshops to managers throughout campus. The
Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will meet routinely with the Senior Cabinet to review, analyze, and make
recommendations on their budget requests. He/she will also partner with the CFO and College President to develop, monitor, and adjust, as
necessary, the institution’s overall annual budget.
In all facets of the job, the Executive Director must exude a deep knowledge of financial planning and budget management principles,
policies, laws, and regulations, as applied to institutions of higher education. His/her work must be governed by an unwavering commitment
to the ethical expectations associated with a position of this nature.
This position requires six or more years of professional experience in non-profit finance or higher education institutions and a Bachelor’s
degree in accounting, finance, or related fields. A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related fields or MBA is preferred.
Experience with change management, continuous improvement, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment is also preferred.
