- Perform paraprofessional work by assisting teachers with students grades preK-6 in the JCCC art
museum youth classes.
- Assist museum staff in check-in and check-out of students.
- Assist teachers in the supervision of
learning activities, circulating within the classroom and providing assistance and learning support to children.
- Supervise students
at all times. Monitor students when they are in the galleries and collection focus areas.
- Assist teachers in putting away materials
and leaving classrooms ready for the next class session.
- The responsibilities described represent the primary responsibilities of
the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to do all
- Associate’s degree or higher
or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution of higher education required
- CPR/First Aid
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to lift from 15 to 40 pounds and ability to move freely to support activities and programs in the classroom, galleries, and campus
art locations required.

One to two years paraprofessional work experience with preK-6th grades in an educational
Familiarity with a variety of art making tools and materials, preferably studio art coursework in high school or college environment.
