- Generates creative visual
content through video capture, still photography, editing, graphic creation, motion graphics, coloring, and post-production work.
- Captures material for various editorial and commercial projects. Assignments include: video feature production, photo galleries for
internal newsletters, client video projects, creation of graphics as well as generation of material for branding initiatives as identified
by the VP Engagement office.
- Works closely with writers, editors, narrators, engineers, clerical staff, and manages vendors in the
production of products mentioned above.
REQUIRED: Bachelor degree
in media, telecommunications, journalism, communications/culture, photography, liberal arts, multimedia or related field and three years in
production studio, agency, or newsroom environment.
- Proven ability to use Professional video cameras and accessories,
DSLRs for both video and still capture. Possess high level of proficiency with non-linear editing and graphics software (Premiere, Final Cut
Pro, After Effects) and supporting software for optimization of content. Fluency in gathering, editing and production of video, audio and
still photography. Knowledge of typography, manipulation of graphics and visual elements to support a media-rich narrative (Photoshop,
Lightroom, Illustrator, QuickTime, Media Encoder). Experience with creating master audio for radio and video soundtracks. Familiarity with
audio technologies and tools as well as Mac and PC workstations.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
and a customer service orientation including ability to work with a wide variety of individuals. Proven ability to lead and/or work within a
team and manage a variety of part-time and contract vendors. Must be organized, detail oriented, highly creative, technically proficient,
collaborative, and have the ability to make artistic decisions quickly.
- Familiarity with developing productions with persuasive and/or emotional content.
Working Conditions / Physical
Must be able to lift and carry 30-40 pounds of gear.
There is physical stress in repetitive motion
executed in any use of technical software for publication management and design. Working with video equipment and software under deadline
and with attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be able to cross campus on foot, climb, and demonstrate agility.
