POSITION: Head Men’s and
Women’s Swim Coach/Certified Pool Operator

Description of Duties:
Determine the order, method and level of
advanced swim skills to be taught. Design classroom training and practices that focus on skill development. Adhere to and enforce all
policies and procedures as stated in Rose State College athletics department, conference, and NJCAA rules and regulations. Recruit, retain,
and monitor student-athletes to determine those who are prepared for the academic demands required of Rose State students. Maintain a
variety of program budgets and coordinate all purchasing and travel expenditures and commitments with the Athletic Director for Athletic to
ensure fund approval and availability. Coordinate current and future competition schedules with the Executive Director of Athletics.
Coordinate, attend, and supervise all daily practice sessions, workouts, team travel, contests, departmental staff meetings and events.
Ensure that all practices are conducted in a professional manner according to Rose State and NJCAA time requirements and report alleged
violations of NJCAA, or institutional rules and regulations. Staff and supervise assistant or volunteer coaches and work-study
student-employees. Provide an opportunity for annual evaluations with student-athletes. Cultivate alumni relations by working with the
alumni office through projects that have been assigned or encouraged by the college, the community and/or the Alumni and speak to service
groups and alumni organizations as assigned. Ensure the safety of the pool facility and its patrons through the enforcement of prescribed
rules and regulations. Manage Aquatics Center operation during normal duty hours. Oversee work schedules, pool inspections, maintenance,
cleaning/sanitation schedules and work order processing and execution. Understand current codes and practices established by the Health
Codes and National Aquatic Certification agencies. 40 hours per week; Mon-Sat; regular attendance is an essential function.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. 1-3 years collegiate coaching or club experience and 1 year experience
managing an aquatics or swimming facility. Expert swimmer. Current Red Cross, Ellis & Associates or YMCA Lifeguard Training Certificate
or equivalent. Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, American Heart Association or National Safety Council
certificate or equivalent or ability and willingness to become certified. Current Oklahoma City/County Pool Operator license. Valid driver’s
license with a good driving record.

Desired Qualifications:
Current American Red Cross Automated. External
Defibrillator certificate or equivalent. Current American Red Cross Oxygen Administration certificate or equivalent. Current National
Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool/Spa Operator License or NRPA Aquatic Facility Operator Course or equivalent.
