ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT, Legatum Center for
Entrepreneurship and Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, to educate, mentor, and coach MIT students across campus on the realities of
being an entrepreneur pursuing emerging/developing world market opportunities. Will work collaboratively with other Trust Center EIRs and
the Legatum team to ensure students across campus are receiving the support they need to accelerate their ideas for impact, and run programs
to help advance the emerging market entrepreneurship educational infrastructure at MIT and around the globe. For example, will develop and
execute on teaching modules for and assist Global Startup Labs (GSL) or MIT Fuse, delta v, other workshops, guest lectures, and MIT Open
Mic.; enhance students’ academic and extracurricular experiences related to entrepreneurship; and build programming to support students from
across campus while collaborating when possible with other faculty and departments/labs/centers across campus, e.g., MIT Innovation
Initiative, IDEAS Competition, DLab, TATA, and MISTI.
REQUIRED: M.A., M.S., or
B.A.; at least five years’ experience; excellent command of written and spoken English; excellent cross-cultural communication, networking,
and negotiation skills; experience as a founder or early employee in a startup with strong links in emerging markets; strong motivation and
willingness to bridge-build across campus; ability to manage priorities of several departments effectively; ability to work both
collaboratively and independently; and proficiency with MS Office. Strong product and technical expertise and an interest in innovation and
entrepreneurship preferred. Fund-raising experience a plus, as is international experience and/or skills in one foreign language. Job
This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension.
