The Director of Alumni and Development Services supports the department of Alumni Relations
by: increasing current giving and participation levels of Annual Giving funding; tracking and reporting of the Alumni and Development
Services information; providing management oversight; serving as the primary staff liaison to align the Alumni Association activities with
the SJC Strategic Plan; and developing the College’s first integrated Athletics Fundraising Program.
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in higher education, program design and management,
experience working with volunteers, managing events and fundraising,
- MBA preferred, but not required.
Attend; facilitate weekend and evening events and meetings. Willingness to travel
approximately 30% of time for alumni and college events.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
working knowledge of various computer software packages, especially MS Office and ability to quickly learn other packages
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or other similar fundraising/sales software
- Strong understanding of social media
- Ability to read and comprehend and analyze financial information
- Ability to perform detail work using reasoning and problem
- Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with regular interruptions
- Strong oral and written
