Swansea University is looking for a Space Manager to develop and provide a professional space management service to ensure the University optimises the use of all space.   The role will involve the analysis and space prediction using trends to support Business and Strategic Planning and to provide space management information reports to Colleges and professional services.

Main duties will involve developing plans for facilities projects, including identifying schedules of work, monitoring work in progress, and inspecting finished projects.  You will also be responsible for developing, establishing, and controlling the methods, procedures, and systems to increase overall effectiveness of space utilisation and management.

The successful candidate will be required to prepare complex and technical statistical analyses, reports, and surveys related to space along with providing information and consultation related to space planning to the space management group and other, departmental stakeholders.

This is an exciting and challenging post within a period of significant growth in the University, as such the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of space management practises and techniques and a sound understanding of the principles of agile working techniques and strategies.

Demonstrable experience of data analysis and data manipulation using relevant software tools is essential along with a working knowledge of space strategies/coding mechanisms and an advanced standard of computer skills particularly in the use of specialist space management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
