Free open Job in Wales Research Associate in Gravitational-Wave Astronomy at Cardiff University

The Cardiff University Gravity Exploration Institute ( is seeking applications to fill the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate. Three positions are available at the Grade 6 level for two years.

Cardiff has a long history of involvement in ground-based gravitational-wave astronomy, particularly in source modelling, data analysis, and astrophysical and cosmological interpretations (Stephen Fairhurst, Mark Hannam, Vivien Raymond, B. Sathyaprakash, Bernard Schutz, Patrick Sutton), and education and public outreach (Chris North). Cardiff University has recently made significant investment in a new research programme in experimental gravitational-wave physics, led by Hartmut Grote and Katherine Dooley, and in parallel a programme of electromagnetic follow-up observations of gravitational-wave sources, led by Cosimo Inserra.
