An opportunity has arisen in the School of Dentistry for a 12-month fixed term post (maternity cover). The post is that of a Quality and Enhancement Manager whose role will be to remain responsible for delivering high quality administrative services to support the quality assurance, development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes administered by the School of Dentistry. Specifically the role holder will provide administrative leadership in the following areas: Learning Technology, Educational Development (including the management of improvement projects, development of new programmes, evaluation) and Student Support, managing complex student cases and quality assurance and enhancement of programmes.

The applicant should possess substantial experience of working within a quality assurance environment whilst being able to balance multiple objectives and priorities. The applicant should have experience of working with and dealing with performance and welfare issues. They should have evidence of ability to plan the work of a section over a year plus time scale, reacting to changes in workload and strategic direction of the School, College and University.

The applicant should be a proven communicator able to communicate detailed and complex information effectively, and professionally with a wide range of people both verbally and in written format. Proven experience in dealing with diverse and challenging problems, including researching issues and creating new solutions where no prior precedent exists is an essential skill.

The specialist knowledge of appropriate administrative systems and processes and the ability to set up and develop office systems and procedures are essential. A high competency in the use of IT software to include MSOffice is essential.

Experience of working in a Higher Education environment would be an advantage.

Salary: £33,199 – £39,609 per annum (Grade 6)
