The Computer Science Department, Aberystwyth University, is a world-class research and education centre. It is an internationally recognised centre of excellence and students’ choice for the study of computer science.

We are looking to recruit a Hardware/Software Engineer to work on research projects in collaboration with Welsh industries in the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO)-funded project on Geographical Data and Earth Observation for Monitoring (GEOM). Activities will centre around systems to analyse data captured using a variety of mechanisms (including drones and ground-based robots, as well as satellite data) and extract relevant information depending on the exact nature of the projects. The remit of GEOM is spatial data, linked to other relevant aspects such as longitudinal studies and biological and geographical systems.
