This is a fixed term position for 3 years

The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the agreed scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service).

The ALG-AD project, led by Swansea University, is a 3.5 year, €5.5 million, strategic initiative of the INTERREG North West Europe Programme.  ALG-AD aims to address the reuse of waste to generate products for a sustainable economy, reducing pollution risk and dependence on imported material resources. The project will use unwanted nutrients from anaerobic digestion facilities to produce algal biomass for sustainable animal feeds and other products. The partnership involves collaboration across academia, industry and policy-makers. There are 11 main partners, 3 sub-partners and 6 associate partners across EU member states covering France, Belgium, UK, and Germany. 

The Interreg North-West Europe Programme fosters transnational cooperation to make Northwestern Europe a key economic player and an attractive place to work and live, with high levels of innovation, sustainability and cohesion.

The Communications and Project Officer is a dual role, responsible for developing, coordinating and evaluating the communication plan and supporting the Project Manager in the day to day delivery of a multi million pound strategic project at Swansea University.
