Job offer available in Scotland Teaching Fellow (Global Health and Infectious Diseases) at The University of Edinburgh
Applications are invited for the position/s of Teaching Fellow, to deliver and assess courses primarily within our online Masters programmes in “Global Health and Infectious Diseases” – with involvement elsewhere within the Biomedical Sciences online portfolio including the MSc in “International Animal Health”.
This is a 0.8 FTE post and could be partitioned into a number of part-time posts according to the individual specialisms; applicants who would be interested in a part-time position are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include the role of Course Organiser for selected courses, supervision and assessment of dissertation students on the aforementioned programmes, contribution to the academic administration of the programmes and assisting in course development.
Opportunities to widen your teaching portfolio to other areas of Biomedical Science, at both undergraduate and postgraduate, are included within the remit of this position.
The post-holder requires a higher degree with experience of teaching in tertiary level education in at least one of the following areas: infectious diseases, immunology, epidemiology and/or global health. Our online programme is delivered using the virtual environment of Blackboard Learn; confidence with information technologies and familiarity with online education are beneficial, good interpersonal skills are essential within this learning environment.
