Job offer available in Scotland Research Grants Administrator at The University of Edinburgh
This is an opportunity to join the University of Edinburgh working within the Research Grants Section of the Finance Department. The Research Grants section is responsible for providing university-wide post-award support for research grants and contracts and ensuring the timely submission of research claims in accordance with the funder rules.
You will play a key role in providing high quality support and advice to academic staff. You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of research projects, ensuring income is recovered from Funders on a timely basis and within the Funders terms and conditions, as well as developing good working relationships with academic and administrative staff across the University, attending regular meetings to discuss progress against financial and reporting deliverables and acting as a source of expertise and advice to these teams assisting them in the delivery of their projects.
The post-holder will possess excellent finance and numeracy skills, high-level organisational skills and close attention to detail. The ability to work across a number of concurrent projects is essential, as well as prioritising workload.
