This post reflects the University’s continued investment in its School of Interdisciplinary Studies which is one of five constituent Schools that together form the University of Glasgow’s College of Social Sciences. Unlike other Schools, Interdisciplinary Studies is located on the University’s campus in Dumfries where the post-holder will have a significant role in developing the School’s tourism offer. This currently consists of four PGT programmes including a joint MSc with the triple accredited Adam Smith Business School and a £3.4million Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree.
We are seeking candidates with a strong background and interests in some combination of the following in relation to Tourism: development, management, culture, heritage, policy and enterprise. You will demonstrate expertise and reputation in the discipline, collegiality, strength in building relationships, including with cognate departments on the University’s Gilmorehill campus, and a record of effective, active leadership.
