This post reflects the University’s continued investment in its School of Interdisciplinary Studies which is one of five constituent Schools that together form the University of Glasgow’s College of Social Sciences. Unlike its co-constituent Schools, Interdisciplinary Studies is located on the University’s campus in Dumfries where the post-holder will have a significant role in embedding leadership and enterprise within our teaching portfolio.
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in the academic disciplines of Leadership and Enterprise and in particular, as they relate to regional / rural economic development and sustainability. You will have experience as PI or Co-I of leading major funded research projects, of delivering research-led teaching; and have a specific interest in developing and embedding leadership as a core graduate attribute across our Degree programmes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate collegiality, the ability to build on our existing Research and Teaching links with the Adam Smith Business School and a record of effective, active leadership.
