We are seeking a professional, highly motivated and organised individual, with a commitment to excellent service, to join the Planning unit as a full-time Planning Officer.
Working under the leadership of the Director of Planning, the Planning unit ensures coherence and collaboration across the institution to inform and strengthen strategic decision making. We provide professional expertise for planning, external policy and data analysis, management information provision, timetabling and risk.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical, numeracy and accuracy skills; will have detailed knowledge and understanding of the HE sector; with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a flexible approach, enabling you to provide a tailored service to all stakeholders.
The role holder will be responsible for:
- Supporting the planning function across the institution pro-actively, as well as on demand, through the supply of appropriate and timely policy and data analysis and management information.
- Ensuring the successful delivery of the day-to-day operations of Analytical Services function within the Planning Unit.
- Preparing relevant briefings, recommendations and advice for stakeholders across the institution, in particular for Senior Management to enable decision making.

In 2018 the University will establish the Eden Campus; purpose built office accommodation at Guardbridge, by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 350 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge.
