Job offer available in Scotland Mental Health Graduate Trainee (2)

Student Services provides a comprehensive welfare and support service for all matriculated students, which includes:

  • Immigration, Disability, Finance, and Academic advice.
  • Pastoral support in halls of residence through the Warden Service
  • Out of Hours support
  • The main information service to the students from the ASC (The Advice and Support Centre).
  • Wellbeing, Coaching, Counselling, CBT and Mental Health coordination, working within a Matching Care model.

We aim to deliver sector-leading services and have recently secured accreditation with APPTS (Accreditation Programme of Psychological Therapies Services, Quality Standards Team at the Royal College of Psychiatrists in partnership with the British Psychological Society).

These two posts offer a new work based pathway providing opportunities to engage in mental health and wellbeing development work and to gain the PG diploma CBT/CBP training; thereafter accreditation with BABCP. The trainee element of the role will last for a maximum of four years.

Throughout the trainee scheme you will be based in Student Services Matched Care Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing team. The final aim of the traineeship is to qualify in PG Diploma in CBT/CBP and to gain BABCP accreditation.
