The Strathclyde Law School has established a great reputation for the highest quality teaching and research over more than 50 years. One of the UK’s leading Law Schools, Strathclyde was ranked 14th out of 92 in the 2018 Good University Guide. In the REF 2014, Strathclyde was 1st equal in research intensity in Scotland.

Building on a recent major investment programme in the Law School, the University of Strathclyde is seeking to make further appointments in the fields of technology law and intellectual property law.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to play a leadership role in the teaching of intellectual property law and also a leadership role in research in that field. This is a great opportunity to progress teaching in this field at all levels, while developing individual research activities, within a leading law school.

Strathclyde Law School has a reputation as a provider of innovative, technology-based learning and teaching. Its strategy for the future includes the further development of this sort of teaching and learning activity.

The University of Strathclyde is a technological university and the Law school participates with other departments in research, knowledge exchange and teaching.  At present there are particular focuses on digital intellectual property law, e-commerce, cybercrime and security between research centres and schools.

For this role, the appointment grade will be dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate.
