Job offer available in Scotland Lecturer in Biological Education at The University of Edinburgh
We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Biological Education to join the academic staff of the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, as we are designing and then refining a new curriculum to provide an excellent Biological Education to our next generation of graduates. The post holder will be committed to evidence-based teaching to develop and implement student-centred teaching techniques and to support existing staff in educational development and research. We are particularly interested in someone with experience in student skills training, who will plan and coordinate an integrated skills development and reflection portfolio for the early years of our undergraduate programme, in the first instance. The candidate will have a PhD in a Biological Sciences discipline or in Pedagogy, and experience in curriculum development and/or innovative teaching methods.
The candidate would be joining one of the UK’s largest and most highly rated life sciences departments.
