Job offer available in Scotland Impact Research Officer at The University of Edinburgh
A fixed-term post is available until 30th November 2020 to provide support the School of Physics and Astronomy (SoPA), at the University of Edinburgh, in the lead up to the Research Excellence Framework Assessment (REF2021).
The postholder will work with the School Impact Champion and School Director of REF on the development and implementation of Impact Strategy and capture of evidence. The postholder will identify, record, enhance and report the impact of activities connected to research published by SoPA for inclusion in the next REF assessment.
Candidates should be educated to degree standard or equivalent formal training, ideally in a subject related to physics. The postholder should demonstrate sufficient understanding of physics and enthusiasm for the subject to describe research within the School and identify potential applications in the wider-world. A successful applicant will have excellent oral communication skills, including well-developed interpersonal and diplomacy skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and build productive relationships. They will also have excellent written communication skills including the ability to assimilate information quickly, identifying the pertinent points and making them accessible for a wider audience.
Applications are welcome for between 0.8 FTE (28 hours/week) to full-time 1 FTE (35 hours per week). The exact working hours and work pattern are to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant.

Salary: £33,199 – £39,609 per annum
