The Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) are seeking an experienced Senior Project and Programme Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). The Institute will be based at the Old Royal Infirmary, which is currently being redeveloped to create a world-class teaching and research space, with a focus on data driven innovation. You will be based with the PMO at The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Office in George Square in Edinburgh. The PMO are tasked with developing and implementing the operating model and infrastructure for EFI, along with providing support to academics across project management, administration, communications and events to realise the EFI ambition and vision for research and education.

You will have responsibility for leading and delivering projects that aim to put EFI’s education offering of 17 undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in place, along with the necessary infrastructure for their delivery. You will work closely with a range of technical, academic and senior staff from across the University to deliver those projects including:

  • Developing and implementing new administrative and regulatory frameworks and processes which cut across Schools and Colleges, making the approval and running of interdisciplinary education programmes efficient and effective.
  • Providing detailed planning, progress tracking and support to the academics for the production of the educational programmes and courses, through design, development and approvals to intake of students.

You will have a deep understanding of programme and project management best practice, excellent leadership, change management experience and strong interpersonal skills.
