Free open Job in North, South & Central America Rhinehart Postdoctoral Fellowship in British History, 2020/21 at Appalachian State University

This Fellowship is open to early-career scholars who have recently been or will shortly be awarded their doctorates in early modern or modern British history. In line with ongoing initiatives to internationalize the campus at Appalachian State, the post is designed for non-U.S. citizens. Appalachian State has a traditional strength in British studies, reflected in the Library holdings, the long association with the journal Albion, and the establishment in 2008 of a Distinguished Professorship in British History (the endowment for which also funds the Rhinehart Postdoctoral Fellowship). This is a 9-month appointment (September to May), non-renewable. Fellow will receive a maintenance grant ($7500); rent-free accommodation; health insurance; visa assistance; grant of $1000 towards air fare; office on campus with computer; and access to all appropriate academic support services.
