The School of Labor and Employment Relations invites applications for the Reuben G. Soderstrom Professorship. This is a named professorship at the Full Professor (with tenure) level. We are interested in outstanding scholars who have expertise and academic abilities within the fields of U.S. and/or international labor relations. Candidates should have established outstanding scholarly reputations through extensive publication records at the highest level of research quality. Preference will be given to candidates who have engaged workers and workers’ organizations through scholarship, teaching, and service, as well as those who have a body of work on workers in union settings. This is a full-time tenured position that combines research with teaching in the School’s master’s and PhD programs in human resources and industrial relations. STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals
  • Teach in the School’s master’s and PhD programs
  • Participate on School-wide service committees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline or professional area of study (e.g., JD) and a research and teaching record commensurate with the rank of full professor. 

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank 

APPOINTMENT STATUS: Regular, 100% time, tenured faculty appointment (full professor)
