Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Anatomical Pathology

The successful applicant must be a graduate of a recognized medical school and have a postgraduate qualification in Anatomical Pathology. Applicants with significant post qualification experience (e.g. at the level of registrar, senior registrar/consultant); a post graduate research degree (e.g. MD/PhD) or post graduate qualification in higher education will be at a distinct advantage.

Some responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and overseeing the teaching of Pathology to undergraduate medical students, including clerkship coordination
  • Coordinating the teaching of Pathology to DM students in various disciplines.
  • Playing a leading role in research in the Faculty and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH)

The Faculty of Medical Sciences has a close and necessary collaboration with the QEH. The successful candidate is expected to hold a post as Associate Consultant in the Department of Pathology at the QEH. Duties may include the performance of autopsies and the independent sign-out of surgical pathology and cytology cases.

The successful applicants will be expected to assume duties by August 1, 2019 or as soon as possible  thereafter.
