We are looking for a creative and dynamic digital communicator with a passion for science to take up the post of Web Editor. This role will help deliver an effective digital communication strategy that promotes the ICR’s science and meets the core aims of the organisation. You will be responsible for all aspects relating to the day-to-day running of the website, including writing, editing and posting content, as well as promoting web content on our various social media channels and producing video.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic science communicator, with a degree in a scientific subject and experience of writing about science online. You should be experienced in creating, editing and organising web content through use of a content management system. Additionally, you will have experience in professional use of social media and be able to monitor web traffic and social media engagement using appropriate analytics tools. Knowledge of HTML and video production would also be an advantage.
