Contracted Hours: Systems Officer (Education) – Fixed Term (until 30 Sept 2019) full time (35hrs/week)

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the regulator of 16 different health and care professions, set up to protect the public. To do this, we keep a Register of professionals who meet our standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

The Education Department ensures education programmes meet our standards to ensure learners successfully completing the programme have the required knowledge, understanding and ability to be eligible to apply to our Register.

The Education Department consists of an Operational team and Systems team. The Systems team comprises of a Systems Officer who reports to the Education Systems Manager.

As a Systems Officer, your main duty will be to assist in the maintenance and development of the Education Department’s Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint software systems. This will range from minor configuration changes to major business change projects. You will support colleagues in their day-to-day use of these systems and liaise with our IT Department and third party suppliers where necessary.

In addition to this, you will produce regular numerical reports to support the work of the Education Department and handle data and freedom of information requests from internal and external stakeholders.

To be a Systems Officer you will need a sound working knowledge of window based software packages, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and Excel. You will need strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work within complex business processes and recommend improvements. To be successful in the role you will need a high level of written and oral communication skills with proven experience in developing strong relationships with stakeholders.
