UCL Examinations is responsible for all aspects of centrally manged examinations for 83,000 candidatures. This role is located within UCL’s Student and Registry Services of which Academic Services is part of. There are many future developments which you will be instrumental in planning and implementing.

The main duties will include working closely with the Examinations Manager to support the delivery of centrally managed exams and all tasks surrounding the logistics and processes involved in this key activity in the student cycle. You will be expected to lead and co-ordinate on activities and assist with the training and development of the exams team and to supervise the day-to-day work of two Examination Officers.

This post is covering a fixed term absence. It is funded to 31 July 2018 in the first instance, or when the substantive post holder returns, whichever is sooner.  There is the possibility of funding being extended to 2019.

It is essential that you are educated to A Level or equivalent and have a proven ability to prioritise work with a minimum amount of supervision, to think clearly and work calmly to meet deadlines under pressure. You will also have demonstrable experience in coordinating work and lead others in the delivery of projects and tasks and possess the flexibility and ability to work effectively in a busy environment and respond quickly to urgent or unexpected demands with a willingness to work additional hours during key periods. It is also essential that you have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to high standards of accuracy and clarity and ideally have some experience of an exams environment.
